A Top Tier Structural Garage

All structural floors are engineered to each floor plan and are unique to each house. First, in our structural concrete garage floor system, is to attach a grid work of I-beams to the foundation wall at the desired height. This is done by attaching a fabricated beam saddle to the foundation wall with anchor bolts. The beams are then placed into the saddles and welded to the saddle. Main I-beams are supported mid span, with a steel column, where the caissons occur.  Beams that are perpendicular to the main beams (purlins), are set into saddles at the foundation wall. Then connected to the main beams with a welded knife plate connection. All beams are flush with each other. Inspection of the I-beam framing is conducted at this time.

After the inspection is made a corrugated metal deck is installed and fastened to the beams with a power actuated fastening system.  Reinforcement wire is then place over the metal decking. Regular weight concrete is poured over the metal deck to the specified depth and finished. Control joints are cut into the concrete slab at this time. The concrete garage floor system is now complete .
